Note | Sarah Adams, daughter of Hartford founder Jeremy Adams and Rebecca (Taylor) Adams, was born say 1643.[1] Thomas Greenhill, half brother of Sarah Adams, was heir to his father's lands. His will dated 16 July 1653, names his heirs: his sister Rebeckah Shepherd, his mother, and "her Children, that is to say, to her son John Addams & to her 3 daughters, Hanna, Hester & Sarah,"[2] Sarah m. by about 1665 Nathaniel Willett, as his second wife.[1] Children[3] Rebecca Willett m. 1690 Thomas Ranney Abigail Willett m. John Bishop of New Haven Sarah Willett m. Zachary Sanford Hannah Willett m. 1697 Baysey Baker Sarah Willett died about 1670[citation needed] or before 1677 when Nathaniel remarried. She is probably buried in the Ancient Burying ground in Hartford. First name is listed as Hannah in Middletown Upper Houses. Other inconsistencies as well. "Rebecca Willett, b. ___, Hartford, Conn., dau. of Nathaniel Willett and Hannah Adams, who was the dau. of Jeremy Adams and Rebecca Fletcher (John Fletcher)."[4] |
