Registration Issues Resolved

I am pleased to say that after a couple of months of hassling with the registration process, I now have a registered copy of JBuilder Enterprise Trial.

Thanks goes out to the customer support engineer in Singapore who figured out that in addition to deleting the “.borland” directory in my “my documents” folder, I also had to delete one other directory in the same place, (which started with a dot and then had a bunch of garbage characters.) For example: “.fkpihgnfgtc”.

I origionally installed the “full” version, and then when I realizd the trial version’s license would not work, I had to uninstall it and reinstall the trial version. It turns out that the mystery directory created by the 1st install was confusing the second install.

Once I deleted the directories, the new licensing worked fine. Now I have 30 days to play with the functionality.

Thanks also goes out to Richard Vowles, Product Evangelist forDevelopers Inc Ltd and Malcolm Groves (Director of Technologies and Marketing for codegear Asia Pacific) for assisting in getting help in this strange registration issue.
